Stone Mountain, Ga - Heatcraft Refrigeration Products was recognized for excellence in product design in the 2023 Dealer Design Awards Program, sponsored by The Air Conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration News magazine.
An independent panel of contractors acted as judges in the contest. Heatcraft’s eCO2Boost Transcritical Booster System was the Silver winner in the Refrigeration and Ice Machines category.
The eCO2Boost, which offers newly expanded capacity of up to 250 refrigerated tons, has parallel compression, which improves efficiency in warmer climates, and features a welded steel structure, which provides a higher level of quality than a bolted-together frame.
“These awards give us a unique opportunity to recognize the outstanding research and development efforts that go into many of the products serving the HVACR industry and the awards issue gives our readers an opportunity to read about innovative installation and service solutions,” said Sarah Harding, publisher of The ACHR News.
The ACHR News is the leading trade magazine in the heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration industries.
“The system uses natural, environmentally friendly, and energy-efficient CO2 refrigerant, which delivers top performance and reliability,” said David Bolaños, head of product management for Heatcraft. “Compared to traditional HFC systems, the typical eCO2Boost Transcritical Booster System is expected to cause 98% less global warming impact with an energy cost 6%-10% lower and a total cost of ownership 5%-10% lower.”
Winning entries in the Dealer Design Awards were featured in the July 24, 2023, issue of The ACHR News, which is distributed nationally to more than 27,000 HVACR contractors, wholesalers and distributors and other industry professionals.
