Add a Smart Defrost Kit™ (SDK) to your system to lower energy costs and boost your bottom line.

The Smart Defrost Kit:

  • Continually learns your system, keeping energy costs down and box temperatures consistent while maintaining product integrity.
  • Reduces environmental impact and saves you money on energy.
  • Helps you realize savings in as little as six months—with an approximate average of two years.
  • Eliminates unnecessary defrosting with “smart” technology.
  • Reduces the number of defrost cycles in commercial, walk-in refrigeration systems by 43.6 percent.*

Find out how much money and energy you could save by adding the Smart Defrost Kit to your system with our Energy Savings Calculator:

National chains have already started to see $200 to $600 in estimated savings a year, with power savings up to 9,500kWh a year by adding a Smart Defrost Kit to their commercial refrigeration system.

Instructions:

  • Add heater watts [found on the nameplate of your evaporators] for all evaporators feeding into a single condensing unit and place into the Heater Watts field. Note: only one SDK can be used per condensing unit. The SDK cannot be used on rack systems.
  • Select your state from the drop-down menu to determine your energy cost per kilowatt hour.
