Make a clean cut to expenses

It’s summer and that means it’s time to open a cold one: your walk-in cooler or other refrigeration system. Because even the best designed mechanical systems will operate more effectively and efficiently when they’re well maintained.

Simple steps – like cleaning the system’s fan blades with a towel or wiping clean the condenser coils – can help reduce your facility’s energy usage, extend the life of the refrigeration unit and protect the quality of perishables stored inside.

Understanding IGCC and LEED

Rising energy costs, tighter budgets and increased competition for tenants have all led to the tremendous growth of sustainable or "green" design in the last few years. Supermarkets that need energy to operate 24/7, schools facing budget shortfalls and mandates for government buildings have fueled the growing interest in the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification program, which advocates designing to reduce energy consumption and environmental impact.

And the survey says...

Your opinion is important to us. If you've opted in to receive emails from Heatcraft, you have already been asked to take part in several customer polls about Heatcraft products and services, as well as for your thoughts on a range of industry topics.

If you haven't received our polls, sign up now.

Each month, we send a poll to selected members asking for input on Heatcraft systems and customer service, as well as opinions on current events, industry trends and the future of the refrigeration industry. This input will affect what we offer our customers in the future. As our thanks, participants who complete the surveys will receive a small gift from Heatcraft.

Look for your chance to take part in one of our upcoming Heatcraft surveys, which are emailed to a select group on the third Tuesday of each month.

Sweeping legislation passed this spring will ensure that nearly everyone in the United States has health insurance within the next four years. If your employer provides you with health insurance now, you may not notice a difference. If you're a small business owner, you may see several changes in the years ahead.
