Energy Efficiency and Advanced Technology Highlight 2009 NAFEM Show
More than 600 exhibitors took part in this year’s North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM) Exposition in Orlando, Florida. Representatives from the commercial refrigeration, catering, food supply, restaurant equipment and other industries took center stage at the biennial showcase, introducing an impressive array of new technologies and products.
Heatcraft Refrigeration Products displayed several new offerings, including its HyperCore™ Microchannel Coil Technology, the latest example of Heatcraft Refrigeration’s advanced work in commercial refrigeration and the centerpiece of its exhibit.
“We’re excited to be the first in our industry segment to offer HyperCore Microchannel Coil Technology,” said Celena Evans, Group Manager-Product Management for Heatcraft Refrigeration. “NAFEM gave us an opportunity to show visitors and other exhibitors how this product can help our end users reduce their energy, installation and maintenance costs significantly at a time when so many are seeking to curtail expenses.”
The HyperCore Microchannel Coil Technology reduces potential for leaks and lowers refrigerant charge and costs. Heatcraft Refrigeration representatives showed NAFEM 2009 attendees how the HyperCore coil provides superior heat transfer, corrosion resistance, increased structural robustness and reduced refrigerant charge compared to standard copper-aluminum round-tube plate-fin (RTPF) coils.
Visitors to this year’s Heatcraft Refrigeration booth also learned about the PRO³ Side Mount Packaged Refrigeration System, which was one of only 79 entries selected for the show’s “What’s Hot! What’s Cool!” exhibit. The PRO³ Side Mount combines an evaporator and condensing unit into a single packaged solution. Being selected for “What’s Hot! What’s Cool!” shows a product is unique, is a significant improvement to an existing function and creates or expands food service opportunities.
The largest trade show of its kind, NAFEM presents the most innovative foodservice equipment and supplies for everything from food preparation to table service.
