Our Danville facility spans 325,000 square feet and employs more than 300 people from Illinois and Indiana. Since 1953, Danville has specialized in sheet-metal, coil and tubing fabrication for low-side refrigeration systems. Starting as an independent Bohn manufacturing plant, Danville merged with Heatcraft Refrigeration Products (HRP) in 1991 under the Lennox International Umbrella.
Danville has seven assembly lines and operates two daily shifts. Hundreds of HRP units are fabricated, assembled and shipped every day. The main products produced at the facility are evaporators.
In 2002, Danville achieved ISO9001:2000 certification for excellence in customer service. Danville was among the 10% of manufacturers to complete the process within two years. Another achievement is the facility’s co-op program, which gives students from across the U.S. the opportunity to receive on-the-job engineering training.
Among the keys to Danville’s success is the Kaizen method of lean production. A Japanese management concept for continuous improvement, this method has reduced operational set-up time by an average of 80%, while dramatically improving customer response time.
